INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS

If you are flying internationally, we strongly suggest flying into John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City. JFK is approximately 80 miles from New Haven, Connecticut (CT), and is served by nearly 100 airlines from airports all over the world. Bradley International Airport (BDL) also has competitive rates for international flights.

If you are flying into:
Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford, Connecticut,
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City,

LaGuardia International Airport (LGA) in New York City,
Newark-Liberty International Airport (
EWR) in Newark, New Jersey
…then you will need to arrange ground transportation to and from New Haven.

New Haven-Tweed Airport (HVN) is small and supports very limited commercial flights. International airports in Hartford and the Greater New York City area better serve the needs of most participants traveling to the program. If you choose to travel to New Haven via New Haven-Tweed Airport, you will need to take ground transportation to the Yale campus, as the airport is east of the city.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Go Shuttle 1-800-377-8745 2019 -Yale Young Global Scholars – This link has been specifically created for YYGS Participants.
Metro Taxi 203-777-7777 Note: Taxi fare to Yale is approximately $25-30 from Tweed Airport. Metro Taxis has New Haven’s largest taxi fleet.

Note regarding CT Limo: May 22, 2019 - YYGS has just found out that Connecticut Limousine and Airport Shuttle was sold last week and is no longer operating. When we called their number we were told the new owners have not yet resumed service and will not be honoring reservations placed with the old company.

Please note that YYGS has no relationship to CT Limo and no control over their decisions, refunds, etc., so we will be unable to field any questions about this. Thus, if you previously made a reservation with them you will need to make alternate arrangements.
