Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) hires instructional staff to teach in-person at Yale University. Preferred candidates include graduate or undergraduate students, or recent graduates, with a desire to teach and a passion for working cooperatively with others. Instructional staff mentor and teach students in one or more of our YYGS academic tracks.

Successful candidates will demonstrate genuine academic and professional interest/experience in fields related to one or more of these academic tracks. Ideal candidates will also have excellent communication skills, organizational skills, mentoring/teaching experience and previous experience with YYGS or a similar program. Job Highlights:

  • Competitive compensation ($5,000 - $7,500) for two or three YYGS sessions

  • Limited on-campus housing is available for instructional staff in exchange for extra duties:
    • Residential Instructors: Assist with check-in/out; nightly suites checks for participants (reporting to the respective College Lead staff member); chaperone various evening activities in coordination with the Residential Life team; Support Residential Life staff by proactively communicating with and locating YYGS participants across residential colleges, classrooms, and the Yale/New Haven area to ensure their timely attendance at scheduled program activities.
  • Three meals a day covered in our residential college dining halls, with the exception of inter-session weekends.

Instructional Staff
