Application & Training Dates

  • October 2025 - January 2026: Application Deadlines, Interviews, and Hiring Decisions

    • We would like to encourage all applicants to apply by the priority deadline: Thursday, December 9, 2025, at 11:59 PM ET, or the regular deadline: Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET, and we hope to start having offers extended by January 2026.

  • February 2026 : Virtual Instructor Curricular Training (Mandatory)
  • February - May 2026: Seminar Curriculum Development
  • April 2026: Virtual Instructor Curricular Training (Mandatory)
  • June 17, 2026: Mandatory Residential Instructor Training (In-person in New Haven, CT)
  • June 18 - 19, 2026: Mandatory Summer Staff Orientation (In-person in New Haven, CT)

Summer Schedule

Instructional staff commit to work for the full duration of session(s) for which they are employed. Please review the YYGS Instructor Summer Schedule for more clarification: https://apply.globalscholars.yale.edu/pdf/employment/summerschedule.pdf 

Each session is two weeks long. Applicants may apply to work in two or three of the following sessions:

  • Session I: June 21 - July 3

  • Session II: July 5 - 17

  • Session III: July 19 - July 31

Preference will be given to candidates that are able to teach for the full summer commitment (all 3 sessions, 6 weeks total).
