As a person who lived her whole life only in South Korea for seventeen years, I did not have an opportunity to dive into the international community and communicate with people from more than 150 different countries. Meeting people from so many different backgrounds and cultures unlocked my view and allowed me to experience going to college abroad indirectly.
“Inspired by my YYGS simulation, I applied what I had learned toward one of my activities, ‘Bring Hope to Moseulpo.’ Bring Hope to Moseulpo is a service club that visits the local children’s care center every week to tutor and mentor children-in-need. As a leader of this club, I started to prepare some new projects in order to fulfill the children’s social education such as culture. One of the examples was the Christmas party. For children who have not experienced foreign language and culture, I organized some materials and plans to create a memorable memory for these children.”
