“The YYGS experience was definitely a window to the world that allowed me to overcome any previous prejudices or biases to become a true global scholar.”

I have continued to work on SolarThrive, a non-profit organization that I created to take a step in solving energy poverty in underdeveloped areas. Although I had organized a service trip last year to install solar panels in off-grid parts of South Korea, I thought that I could use the solar panels more efficiently. Therefore, I’ve made it my goal for this year to work alongside solar design companies to maximize the efficiencies of our service trips.
