YYGS taught me to consider all the perspectives present in one issue, and that we are all a part of a greater whole. I approach problems in a new way thanks to the amazing seminars and lectures I was able to be a part of.
My absolute favorite seminar was Allie Ho’s “To March or To Fight: Which Do You Pick?” This seminar was so interesting as we engaged in mock mini-revolutions and debated perspectives relating to the topic. Another seminar I loved was Maddy Megal’s “TikTok Politics,” where we discussed the increasing role of TikTok in politics such as when an entire rally was upended as a result of online users. In TikTok politics, we also got to make and watch TikToks regarding current political issues and matters.
