I met some amazing, funny, and intelligent people from all over the world, and thanks to YYGS, I got to travel the world from the comfort of my home. I learned how to speak Mandarin and Hebrew from my peers, made some amazing friends, and we learned more about technology, toxins, and how our traditions and culture influence our emotional expression.
Since leaving YYGS, I have created a program called iQuest with my best friend. iQuest seeks to help students learn more about themselves through writing. Members of this program send out monthly letters to students in school in the school magazine, and we encourage, uplift one another, and share short stories and poems with our peers. In addition to iQuest, my YYGS simulations team and I are continuing to work on our project J.O.H.N (Junior Online Health Network). The project is aimed at helping teens overcome mental health issues as we return to in-person instruction.
