Molly Matteson is Program Administrator for the Yale Young African Scholars (YYAS) program. Before joining YYAS, Molly spent two and a half years serving in with Peace Corps in rural Ghana. As a Youth and Community Development Advisor, her efforts focused largely on enhancing youth empowerment strategies and increasing educational access. Prior to her Peace Corps service, Molly attended American University where she earned her bachelor’s in International Relations, and also spent a year studying Middle Eastern and African politics and culture at the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. Molly is currently pursuing her Masters degree from Harvard University while being a valued member of the YYAS team.
