Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) must share the news that we are unable to host students on-campus during Session I, II, or III this summer. While the University cannot predict the future outcome of the pandemic, YYGS must comply with local mandates and continue all preemptive efforts to protect the health and safety of students, instructors, and staff members.
Our staff have worked hard to prepare a great campus program, and while we share disappointment over this outcome, we understand that safety is the upmost priority at this time.
YYGS is currently working with admitted students regarding deferment and virtual program options. While we cannot replicate the on-campus experience, YYGS staff work have worked hard to incorporate key programmatic elements into a pilot virtual program called YYGS Connect. We are confident that our virtual program will be a collaborative, engaging, and enriching experience for eligible students.
We appreciate the patience, flexibility and understanding of students and families as we navigate these challenging times. YYGS looks forward to entering this next chapter together.
