In YYGS, everyone has the opportunity to gain unique and priceless, lifelong values and extraordinary experiences, through which we become better people. This beautiful journey provided me with a sense of belonging in an international community that strives not only for academic enrichment but also for independence and identity formation under the grounds of cultural diversity!

During my Simulation project, I engaged with the topic of racial discrimination in the workforce while delving into this burning societal issue along with two other passionate girls, Isabella Grau and Avery DeMoss. Through this experience, we finally understood that we had to utilize our education as a vehicle for societal progress.

Although racial discrimination in the workplace is estimated to have already been largely eliminated, it cannot be denied that there is still a gender gap in employment. We generated a plan called “Women in Work Initiative” that includes a holistic annual program that would encourage women to enter the workforce after getting in touch with other women CEOs and mentors that would elaborate on their careers in various fields.

However, since we live in completely different countries from each other, we figured it would be a more efficient idea to promote this initiative within our countries first. When we graduate, we can collaborate online and unite our initiatives together! Therefore, I decided to promote such an initiative to my school and collaborate with two girls that have chosen business orientation to make this plan come true.

For 2022, we will book two women CEOS in the business field to motivate the female population of our school to start taking initiatives of their own. When we return to school from Christmas holidays, we are planning to start working on our online platform. We hope to encourage more women to stand up for their rights and try to conquer as much as they can in innumerable disciplines.
