Initially I was skeptical about online program and wondered how sessions like Family Time would be conducted virtually and be impactful. To my surprise, Family Time was among the best sessions as I enjoyed interacting with other likeminded students from all over the world and learnt different cultures.
My goal and intention after I finish my high school is to continue with the same spirit of reaching out to students in Kenyan high schools with some my friends that I became friends with during YYAS and YYGS Programs. I want to come up with projects that will impact young lives, which will involve using technology and developing apps that can help community access services even from marginalized areas. My mother has been my biggest motivator and I will continue working with her as she is also passionate about women in STEM and has a wide network that I can leverage to achieve my objectives.
