“For someone coming from a small city in the corner of your own country, the ability to connect with people from diverse intellectual and cultural backgrounds was quite significant during my experience at YYGS.”

The idea to participate in a CanSat competition has been with me for a while. The competition involves creating a project that uses a CanSat to solves a global problem (or further research). I decided to gather a team and make an entry for the competition. We have 8 members in total from different schools throughout my city of Derry. We are known as Team Cupertino. The aim of our project is to try and improve the quality of satellite internet so that the internet can be accessible to people living in rural areas. To do this, we are creating a simulation of satellite internet, using a CanSat.
