“YYGS is so special because of the countless nationalities represented at every session; students put forward their international perspectives and learn from each other, developing empathy and understanding.”
Meeting so many bright individuals at YYGS inspired me to revive my current non-profit, WishLists4Change. I’ve studied at 10 schools around the globe, and each faced the often overlooked issue of lacking adequate school supplies. I became determined to do my part in aiding this issue: I created a donation forum where teachers can post their Amazon wish lists, and people from all around the world can donate the needed items with a click of a button. I started WL4C during my sophomore year; now I have a fully-functioning and ignite vital conversations with interested teachers.
