“My first seminar was one of my highlights. We discussed the topic ‘’Sustainability and Privilege: how are they related?’’ The openness of my peers, as well as the kindness of our instructor, allowed me to speak out, participate in engaging conversations, and make new friends from all around the world.”
After YYGS, I did an online summer internship of six weeks. I wanted to master my skills in computer science, economics, and mathematics. I learned about machine learning, and I was part of a research Bootcamp led by a Stanford graduate. I was motivated to do so because, after YYGS, I wanted to write a research project which will allow me to dig deep into my YYGS simulation project. The simulation presentation was about unemployment in China, the United States, and the Netherlands. I am writing about my research now.
