“The first week of the program was enough to impress me and change my prejudice over online learning. While staring at the same monitor and sitting in the same chair as before, I experienced an entirely different class atmosphere in YYGS lectures. It was not only because there were a lot more people, but also how vividly each professor presented their topics of study.”
I had the pleasure to join the YYGS media team this past summer as a Youtube Vlogger. Making videos has always been a passion of mine, so it was fun to be a member of the team. At the end of YYGS, I created a vlog that highlights what I did during the two weeks, including attending lectures and playing games with my family group. Although it took me about a week to come up with creative ideas and to implement them into my video, the vlog was a huge success after I uploaded it to my Bilibili channel, a Chinese version of Youtube. It is so far the most-viewed video in my channel, and it has brought me over two hundred new subscribers. It was a huge milestone for me as a content creator. Motivated by the vlog’s success, I plan to make more videos where I share my life as a high school student in the US with the people in my country.
