“YYGS has made me feel like I matter as a student. Instead of memorizing facts, I solve problems and collaborate with others to curate the best solution for the issues that matter most in society today.”
After seeing the success that YYGS had virtually, and how much accepted students were still able to get out of the program, we decided to start a Virtual Lesson program for the students at the St. Pius School who had their learning disrupted by the pandemic. I helped lead 27 students (from our school in Doha) to instruct and videotape lessons in math, science and English for all students at the school to listen to on-demand. Through furthering my passion to ensure Quality Education for all, I have been engaged, challenged and felt like I have a more surefire purpose.
