“Listening to the various experiences and projects of my fellow students inspired me to continue to pursue my own initiatives. Moreover, by sharing my experiences I was able to make people aware of the positives of Pakistan, helping change their perception of my country. The network that YYGS creates is the best part of the program as it enables you to connect with people from all walks of life and understand their perspectives as well.”
After studying sustainable development and social entrepreneurship at YYGS, I was inspired to pursue initiatives of my own. I pitched a social enterprise idea at South Asia’s largest entrepreneurial summit, the Young Leaders’ and Entrepreneurs’ Summit at the Lahore University of Management Sciences. My proposed app would benefit Pakistan’s tourism. The app strives to link tourists to accommodations and tour guides in both remote areas and larger cities. The idea was one of five to be selected for incubation.
