PLE 2022
The most memorable moment of my YYGS experience was my seminar “Gerrymandering, Apportionment, and How to Measure (Un)Fairness.” This seminar was not only intriguing content-wise but also in the way it was taught.
In the second session, the class had completely evolved into a discussion: we made jokes about how disproportionate Pennsylvania’s congressional map was, had a deep discussion about the state of the Supreme Court and how they’re hindering gerrymandering regulation, and more. The seminars were truly a deep and thorough discussion, and I enjoyed YYGS’s style of seminar learning across all of my seminars.
