YYGS Simulation Showcase 2022

Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) is a summer program that focuses heavily on collaboration and conversation. Students from over 150 countries and 50+ U.S. states and territories come together to share their unique perspectives during Yale faculty lectures, seminar classes, discussion panels, and more.

During the online program, students also join simulations, where they address real-world issues by participating in a collaborative, open-ended problem-solving activity with likeminded peers. Over the years, YYGS students have addressed international issues related to education, poverty, climate change, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Crescare: Living in the Post-Pandemic World

Crescare is dedicated to self-care and wellness as people worldwide navigate mental and physical challenges post-pandemic. Crescare seeks to improve everyday life and redefine the new normal.

Inside Out: A Mental Health Platform

Inspired by the Pixar film, “Inside Out” is a mental health platform for students impacted by the pandemic, and it specifically publicizes resources for students unable to afford mental health care. The platform also includes a podcast where people can share their experiences without being judged or criticized.

The Green Again Project
Isaiah Biggs, Aleshanee Perez, Kathya Aguilar Soto, Hansen Tsai

The Green Again Project addresses climate change threats and provides resources for reducing one’s ecological footprint. The group is currently working on an app that helps people track their individual progress when moving toward a more sustainable lifestyle.
