Payment & Financial Info

important note: on this webpage and on all the “student life” webpages (accessible from the menus on the left), you will find drafted language for the 2020 yygs program. yygs reserves the right to edit this information at any time, particularly in leading up to the release of 2020 admissions decisions.

Tuition

Once you accept your offer of admission, a non-refundable enrollment deposit payment is due. Please Note: You will not be able to pay your enrollment deposit until you have completed the Admission Reply Form.

The link to pay your enrollment deposit will appear on your Application Status page . Once you have paid your enrollment deposit, a link to pay your tuition balance will appear on your Application Status page.

YYGS partners with FlyWire so that payments can be made via:

  • DOMESTIC: payment in USD, including eChecks from U.S. bank account, or Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express credit or debit cards
  • INTERNATIONAL: payment in foreign currency, including bank wire, foreign credit or debit cards, and other native options, like Alipay and UnionPay

Financial Aid

If you received need-based financial assistance, then you were notified of your financial aid package in your offer of admission letter. Financial aid operates as a tuition discount.

  • Partial Tuition Discount - Your deposit and balance payments due will reflect the discount received. Please read your award letter carefully so that you do not miss a deposit and/or balance deadline.
  • Full Tuition Waiver - Your deposit and balance payments have automatically been waived. You do not need to submit any tuition payments.
  • Travel - Financial aid packages do not cover travel costs to and from the program, unless you received a YYAS Alumni, Young Leaders (YL), or YYGS-Qooco Scholarship (this would have been indicated in your offer of admission letter, along with the Scholarship requirements).

There are many ways to bridge any financial gaps you may be facing to raise funds to cover remaining costs. Each year, hundreds of admitted students work with their extended families, friends, neighbors, schools, and community organizations to raise funds - ranging from $500 USD to all $6,250 USD - for tuition and travel to YYGS. We have put together a “tips” guide (above) to assist your planning activities.
