Anneliese Abney is the Social Science Program Manager for the Yale Young Global Scholars Program. Anneliese received her B.A. in International Studies and B.Mus. in Oboe Performance from Lawrence University in 2011 and her dual M.A. in Sustainable International Development and Coexistence & Conflict Studies from The Heller School for Social Policy and Management, Brandeis University in 2015. Her master’s paper focused on the interconnectivity of sustainable development, peacebuilding, and migration studies, and was informed by an intensive practicum in the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees in Nuremberg, Germany. Anneliese brings with her a wide variety of skills and experiences, ranging from past work as a corporate immigration paralegal in Boston, to an extensive background in language teaching and intercultural exchange, including a year-long U.S. Teaching Assistantship with Fulbright Austria . She joined YYGS in 2017.
